New Royal Mint issue flies in... the RAF Sea King Helicopter coins

The latest release in the Royal Mint's series of coins commemorating the centenary of the Royal Air Force is now available.

Featuring the iconic Sea King helicopter, the new UK coins are available in a range of finishes including Brilliant Uncirculated and Silver Proof.

The Sea King is most famous for its role as a rescue helicopter, and saw active service from 1978 right up until 2015. 

The Silver Proof edition of the coin is limited to just 7,500 worldwide, and comes complete in a deluxe Presentation Case.

The Brilliant Uncirculated edition is presented in an informative Royal Mint Presentation Pack, filled with details about the famous helicopter.

The coin is already proving a huge hit in the United Kingdom, where the Sea King holds a surprisingly important place in the hearts of many Britons.
