UK 2022 Queen’s Reign Silver Proof £5 Coin: Honours & Investitures
***Please note this is a pre-order item. Despatches are expected to commence from mid-June***
The Royal Mint has released a limited coin series honouring the dedication of Her Majesty the Queen to the Crown throughout her milestone 70-year reign.
The first coin in the series features a UK first — the Queen’s signature — and pays tribute to the Queen's Honours and Investitures, with the design featuring some of the renowned medals and accolades still awarded today, including the Victoria Cross and George Cross.
Extremely Limited
The coin has been struck from .925 Sterling Silver to a flawless proof finish and will arrive in official Royal Mint packaging along with Certificate of Authenticity.
But most crucially, JUST 4,000 coins have been authorised for release, which is unlikely to satisfy collector demand — particularly when you consider the success of the Platinum Jubilee Silver £5 which sold out of an edition limit of 6,000 within 24 hours.
The 2022 Queen’s Reign £5 Coin Series
As the first coin to be issued in recognition of Her Majesty’s life service, there are also two more Silver Proof coins to collect. The second coin in the series, which is expected to be released in July, highlights her patronage and support of charities, whilst the third and final coin highlights her tireless work with the Commonwealth nations.
Remember, these are the first UK coins ever to include The Queen’s signature — uniting each coin in the collection.
