UK 2017 Remembrance Day Silver Piedfort £5
Secure the UK’s First Ever Remembrance Day coin in the most limited way possible
This year the United Kingdom has issued a Remembrance Day coin for the very first time.
The Royal Mint has struck a series of commemorative £5 coins but there is one particular coin that stands out above all others.
That's the Silver Piedfort issue.
Piedfort coins are the pinnacle of Royal Mint craftsmanship and are twice the thickness of a standard coin. Only a tiny fraction of all UK coins each year are struck in this way.
Over three times as rare
Importantly, this special Piedfort issue has a single coin edition limit of just 1,500 pieces – that makes it more than three times as rare as the standard Silver Proof £5 issue.
Struck from 925/1000 Sterling Silver to a pristine Proof Finish, this coin features Stephen Taylor’s poignant red poppy design with the phrase ‘silence speaks when words can not’.
Each coin comes in its own Official Royal Mint Presentation Case and with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Just 150 available
We currently have 150 coins available for our UK collectors and with a significantly lower edition limit than the standard silver proof issue, this double-thickness Piedfort edition is likely to sell-out quickly.
