To continue the 4 year commemoration of the Centenary of the First World War, The Royal Mint has issued the third in a series of brand new £2 coins. This time commemorating the ‘Pals Battalions’ and their tragic debut at the Battle of the Somme 100 years ago.
The design features a modern interpretation of three ‘Pals’ side by side, inspired by the works of British WWI artist C.R.W. Nevinson.
Each Brilliant Uncirculated £2 coin has been placed in a tamper-proof numismatic capsule and certified as an original Royal Mint Brilliant Uncirculated issue to ensure its long-term collector status.
