This coin is beautiful in the online rendering but even more so "up close and personal". I am very proud to add it to my collection.
Stunning piece! The coin has beautiful detail and arrived more quickly than expected (being sent overseas). It will be a surprise gift to a beloved family member who has deep knowledge and appreciation of the technologies, human sacrifice and importance of this great event - lest we forget!
I really love these special colored coins. I now have three in my collection from the RAF centenary last year to the Queen's 65th anniversary of her coronation to now D-Day. Look forward to special silver coins in the future this year covering Queen Victoria and perhaps the 50th anniversary of the Concorde in April?
Very good design of the reverse.
The D-Day 75th Anniversary Silver Proof Five Pound Coin
Secure the limited edition D-Day 75th anniversary Silver Proof Coin
Around 156,000 Allied troops landed in Normandy on the first day of the D-Day liberation.
Now, 75 years on a stunning Silver Proof £5 coin has been released to commemorate their bravery and heroism.
The design expertly features the three vehicles used so effectively during the landings – the Cromwell Mk IV tank, an Airspeed Horsa glider and Royal Navy landing craft.
What’s more, these iconic vehicles feature in full colour, meaning they contrast magnificently against the perfect proof finish.
Your coin will also come ready to display in a presentation case with a certificate of authenticity.
A worldwide edition limit of just 2,019 coins means a sell-out is very likely, especially when you consider the popularity of coins honoring the brave sacrifices of all those who served and helped to end WWII.
