A brand new £5 coin has been issued by the United Kingdom to mark the 1000th Anniversary of King Canute’s coronation - the Viking conqueror and first ‘King of all England’.
To further mark this moment in time, just 500 of these new £5 coins have been reserved for a special DateStamp™ Issue and 50% have already sold.
Struck to an unblemished Brilliant Uncirculated finish, each coin has been officially postmarked by Royal Mail with the date of the coronation anniversary – 06.01.17.
The obverse carries the Jody Clark portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II while the reverse features a design depicting King Canute by Lee R. Jones.
What's more, each coin comes protectively sealed in a tamper-proof numismatic capsule with its own unique serial number so you can even register it online to receive your official DateStamp™ registration certificate.
