In 2023, Monnaie de Paris partnered with Lacoste to celebrate the brand’s 90^th anniversary.

Paying tribute to nearly a century of French excellence, Monnaie de Paris have reimagined René Lacoste’s iconic emblem on a unique Silver Proof coin:

• This is the world’s first tennis racket shaped coin! Part of the coin range which was used in the coin tosses at the June 2023 French Open.
• Struck from 9% Fine Silver to a stunning Proof finish.
• Incredible minting techniques - from the cotton piqué pattern of t1.5e rope to the scales of the iconic crocodile.
• Paying tribute to Lacoste’s golf champion wife, Simone Thion de La Chaume, the tennis ball has the texture of a golf ball.
